Recently, it was the 30th anniversary of John Lennon's murder. He was killed in New York City on December 8th, 1980. -_-
(1940年10月9日 - 1980年12月8日)

He was a famous member of The Beatles (ビートルズ), who are widely regarded as the greatest rock band of all time. He played guitar, sang, and wrote music for The Beatles, in tandum with Paul McCartney in the "Lennon McCartney Song Writing Partnership."

He made some great music (The first song of my Christmas music series was one of his), but more importantly, he didn't get all stupid with his fame. He was always a kind person, always helping others, and always promoting the importance of peace. He is certainly missed.

There's a great HBO series about a group of American soliders in World War II called "Band of Brothers." I recommend it to everyone ever. Here's a vocalized version of the theme song to honor this day:


OK so William Wallace wasn't in World War II but this blog only comes with so much storage space. Sorry. Still, he fought for freedom and would appreciate the sentiment.

でもこのヴァジョンはその賛美歌ヴァジョンより悲しいで

But this version is sadder than the hymn version. Even the instruments sound sad!

今日の クリスマス音楽は 同じですけど、日本人のグループです！ HI-STANDARDです...


Today's song is the same as ysterday's, but a different version. This is by a Japanese group called HI-STANDARD.

Their English is pretty good, eh?
英語上手ね。

But they speak a little bit too fast @_@  

アメリカで、先週木曜日は「感謝祭」でした。英語で、「Thanksgiving」と言ます。
私たちの家に、日本人の友達20人いました。いっぱい。
In America, "Kanshasai" or "Thanksgiving" was last Thursday. We had 20 Japanese friends at our house.

アメリカで、みんな 七面鳥を食べます。インタネットで、 七面鳥を買た！ 日本人の友達は、
七面鳥の食べたのときがない！ ヘー？ まじで？ ぼくたちには、信じられない。
IN America, everyone eats turkey. On the internet, we bought a turkey here in Japan! Our Japanese friends never had turkey! WHAT!? To us, that's unbelievable.


長くかかりました。でも、遂に、みんな七面鳥を食べた。やはり、おいしかった
です。友達たちは、おもちかえり七面鳥した。
It took a long time, but finally, everyone ate some turkey. As expected, it was delicious. Our friends took some turkey home with them.


ディナー 中、みんな、 自分の「ありがたいもの」と言うた。
In the middle of dinner, everyone said what they were thankful for.


心は暖かったです。
Our hearts were warm. :)
