My クリスマスTree!
Janelle and I bought a discounted Christmas Tree last year at Nitori and were ready to set it up...

We hooked a few things up, messed with some wires, and...It's beautiful!

We don't have many lights, because lights are very expensive in Japan...still, the tree is lookin' great!

Cathy is better than all of us
I wanted the title to be "Cathy is better than all of us at blogging about art festivals," but Ashita Sanuki's character limit got in the way. 30 characters? Really, Ashita Sanuki?
The 2010 Art Setouchi Festival came and went, and no one (that I saw) covered it better online than Cathy Hirano. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend checking out her Ashita-Sanuki blog. Especially enjoyable to read was the last post she made on the subject, entitled "The Last Word."
Her entries tend to feature great pictures, my favorite of which are the ones which feature appropriate jumping, such as this:

The entries especially make me wish I'd been able to make it out to Shodoshima. The photos of the exhibits there are amazing. We hit up every island involved...except that one. We saved cash by getting the passports, buying the 2-day unlimited ferry tickets and such, but Shodoshima never fit into our super-streamlined schedule, and when it eventually did, we couldn't really spend the cash to get out there. Sucks. Well there's always...um...next...3 years from now....

Batting Cages
I played baseball when I was a kid. It has been a long time~
The pitching machines t Round 1 throw the balls too low, though. They were at my knees so it was hard to hit. It was like golf! >_<

Oh, that’s Janelle in the picture. It’s not me. ^^;
